Need an EICR certificate in Bristol? Kebbi Electrical Services provides electrical inspection and testing for homes, rental properties and commercial premises. We inspect and test the fixed electrical installation and provide an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), often called an electrical safety certificate, explaining its condition, any defects and the next steps.
Our NAPIT-registered electrical business serves Bristol and the surrounding areas. Tell us the property type, postcode and reason for the inspection so we can discuss the scope, access and a quotation. Choose the specialist service below or contact us if you are unsure which applies.

What is an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report assesses the condition of the fixed wiring in a property. It records the findings from inspection and testing within the agreed scope and any limitations. It is different from portable appliance testing and from the certification issued for a new electrical installation.
What our inspection covers
We discuss the installation and access before the visit. Depending on the agreed scope, inspection and testing covers the consumer unit or distribution boards, circuits, sockets, switches, lighting points, earthing, bonding and protective devices. Let us know about previous alterations, known faults, EV charging, solar panels or battery storage when you enquire.
What you receive
Your written report records the inspection and test results, observations, limitations and recommended next inspection date. We explain the overall satisfactory or unsatisfactory assessment and any action needed. Booking an inspection does not guarantee a satisfactory result.
Planning the visit
Arrange access to the relevant rooms and electrical equipment. Some testing needs the electricity supply to be switched off temporarily. Tell us about tenants, home working, alarms, refrigerated stock or business equipment so interruptions can be discussed in advance. The time required depends on the installation and access.
EICR Remedial Works
If the report identifies defects or a need for further investigation, we explain the findings and discuss the appropriate next steps. Kebbi Electrical Services can quote for remedial electrical work separately, so you understand the scope and cost before authorising repairs.
Understanding the outcome
Observations may include C1 (danger present), C2 (potentially dangerous), C3 (improvement recommended) or FI (further investigation required). Follow the inspecting electrician’s advice about urgency. After any work, keep the report together with the relevant documentation for the repairs and further testing.
Agreeing a remedial quotation
An inspection and any resulting repairs are separate pieces of work. Ask for a quotation that identifies the observations being addressed, proposed repairs, relevant certification and any further testing. Send the full report when requesting a remedial quotation so we can relate the proposed work to its recorded findings.
Which property service should I choose?
Use Landlord EICR Bristol for rental homes and HMOs, Home Buyer EICR for a purchase, or Commercial EICR Bristol for business premises. Inspection intervals and requirements depend on the property and its circumstances.

Do I receive an EICR certificate?
The document you receive is an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), often called an EICR certificate or electrical safety certificate. It records the condition found during inspection and testing, the results, observations and any limitations. It can be satisfactory or unsatisfactory; booking an inspection does not guarantee a satisfactory result. Read our guide to EICRs and electrical safety certificates if you are unsure which document you need.
How much does an EICR certificate cost in Bristol?
We quote for the property and agreed inspection scope. Property type and size, the number of circuits or distribution boards, access and any known limitations affect the work involved. Send your postcode, a previous report if available and any access details so we can confirm the scope and quotation before booking.
How long does an EICR inspection take?
The visit time depends on the size and condition of the installation, access and the agreed testing scope. We can give an estimate when we know more about the property. Tell us about tenants, business equipment or other needs before we arrange any temporary power interruption.
How often should an EICR be renewed?
For rented homes in England, landlords must arrange an electrical inspection at least every five years, or sooner when the report specifies a shorter interval. See the current government guidance for rented properties. For other premises, follow the applicable requirements and the next inspection date recorded in the report.
